Job Overview:
Computer World Services requires a Content Manager to help support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP) in providing information technology services support to the National Prevention Information Network (NPIN) Program.
NPIN, when it originally debuted, was the CDC National AIDS Clearinghouse, and was designed to facilitate information sharing and sharing of resources between individuals, organizations, and networks working on HIV prevention, treatment, and support services. Today, NPIN remains a central repository of CDC and partner information and resources, and remains an indispensable resource for professionals dedicated to HIV, viral hepatitis, STDs, and TB prevention. Most NPIN products and services are accessible to the public electronically via web and social media.
Role Overview:
The successful Content Manager will be able to support tasks including: Task 2 – Digital Media Channel Development & Enhancement; Task 3 – Database Development, Analysis, and Maintenance; Task 4 – Special Data Products; Task 5 – Accessibility Review and Remediation; Task 6 – Usability and User Experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of Agency Web-site content.
- Support documentation maintenance on the agency Web.
- Supporting agency communications development.
- Suggesting new and innovative web applications as well as training / educating on benefits of using the Web.
- Supporting location and search for content and surveying internal customers to provide feedback for site enhancement and improvements.
- Working experience of several of the following are required: English (or Spanish), Journalism, graphic design or related field, Web-site administration, web servers, intranet site architectures, and Web-related software.
- Develops web pages that appeal to the target audience, bring web traffic, and provide optimal user experience.
- Applies user interface design and human factors engineering expertise to create appealing web pages with high content and simple-to-follow schemes.
- Leverages site animation and special effects to create an interactive user experience.
- Optimizes site performance and usability with testing in multiple browsers.
- Should have an understanding of web technology, web techniques, and software such as HTML, Shockwave, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Flex, Adobe Flash, JavaScript, ASP pages, and SEO.
Key Requirements:
- BS/BA degree (or equivalent) preferred
- Requires 3-6 years of related experience
- Industry certification consistent with position (desired)
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Must undergo Public Trust Background Investigation check
