Role:
As an elementary French content writer for Canada, you will be tasked with planning, organizing and creating resources and other content for the site. A great deal of this work will be creating Twinkl resources in French, category descriptions, blogs and more for our Canadian customers in English. You will need a solid, current working understanding of the primary and intermediate curriculum and experience in working to curriculum standards within a Canadian school. You will use your knowledge to develop resources and your work will be turned into a finished product for Twinkl by our highly skilled design team.
Please Note: We have either part-time (20 hours a week) or full-time employment available (37.5 hours a week) – Please select what hours will be best for you in your application questionnaire. The hours can be worked flexibly over 7 days of the week. For the full-time contract, you should not be working in another full-time job or would need to be in a position to give notice on your current job. The part-time contract can be completed in the evenings or weekends alongside a full-time or part-time teaching job.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Canadian team in developing and editing resources for French at provincial/territorial curriculum levels;
- Carry out paperwork tasks that will be directed towards your professional development and career aspirations;
- Support other content writers/editors to ensure the reviewing of French resources (quality assurance);
- Create creative materials to support themes and events;
- Ensure you deliver on your KPIs and targets by understanding our process and working efficiently;
- Develop greater commercial awareness so that we can serve the needs of the individuals whom we want to help.
Qualification and Skills:
- An currently qualified primary school teacher (In good standing) with a full class teaching role in a school (Ideally Public Schools) with at least 2 years of teaching the subject French;
- Possess Native or Business level French language competence (Both written and verbal)
- Possess good English language competence (Both written and verbal to a C1/C2 level)
- Have good aural knowledge of the latest current existing primary and intermediate framework;
- Have fresh ideas and clear vision as to what the teachers require and desire, and how to accomplish this;
- Have excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar (Both in French and English);
- Enjoy being good at prioritising, planning and project planning
- Be able to deliver on projects;
- Possess efficient time management skills;
- Be at ease with moving on current projects to new ones as and when they arise;
- Show ability to work on your own initiative and take your own creative direction with minimal supervision.
